Abstract

Automobile tyres are produced automatically by (a) injection moulding the carcase from an elastomer-reinforcement mixture with orientation of the reinforcement, on a pressure resistant, rigid core composed of several parts, (b) injection moulding the tread onto the carcase, in which the core remains, in a second mould, and (c) placing the core with the tyre tube in a vulcanising mould for vulcanisation of the tyre. High quality tyres can be produced automatically with low labour and appts. costs. The reinforcement has a desired orientation in the carcase.
