Abstract
A plastics or ceramics housing for electrochemical cells and other electrical apparatus contains certain zones where conductive particles pref. of carbon black or silver powder are embedded in the plastics insulating material to produce a conductive connection from the inside to the outside of the housing. The materials are so chosen that conductive and insulating zones have the same heat expansion coefficient. Pref. plastics is polyethylene.
