Abstract

Protective coatings with good adhesion to masonry contain a hydraulic binder and a liquid epoxide resin (epoxy equiv. 170-250 and viscosity 150-20000 cP) (in ratio 5:1 to 1:5) dissolved/dispersed in an org. water-miscible liquid. In a separate pack is provided an amine-type hardener (pref. polyaminoimidazoline with dispersing activity) in aq. solution pref of viscosity 12000 cP. In an example the components are (A) Epoxide resin 15; Cement 42; Acetone 10 parts; (B) Polyamine hardener 11:1; Water 21.9 parts.
