Abstract

The vacuum diffusion pump body has a body whose inside face has a part which has a pattern of ribs or grooves in relief on its surface. The ribs are prefabricated of any suitable material and are anchored to the inside of the body by placing in the mould during casting of the body. Variation in the shape, material and arrangement of the ribs are possible.
