Abstract
Chymopain (a purified enzyme from Carica papaya) is mixed with vitamin P and analgesic; the mixture has anti-inflammatory, vitamin P capillary, and analgesic activity and is useful for treating injuries without fractures, rheumatism, arthritis,and oedema of the respiratory tract, Chymopain is prepared from C. papaya extract by the action of digestive enzymes. Specifically the mixture is made into pommades, gels, pills or suppositories. Examples of vitamin P are Indian-chestnut extract, hesperidin methylchalcone, quercetol, citro-flavonoids, and rutin derivs; examples of the analgesic are paracetamol, aspirin, and morpholine salicylate.
