Abstract
Methane enriched natural gas is liquified as in parent patent but uses pref. compressed propane to cool a multicomponent coolant at >35 Kp/cm2 having an average mol.wt. of 24-28 and pref. containing 2-2 mol % N2, 35-45 mol % CH4, 32-42 mol % C2H6 and 9-19 mol % C3H8 to O, pref. -2 degrees to -32 degrees C. This is used to cool its methane stream to pref. -17 degrees to -46 degrees C.
