Abstract
In a process for facilitating the ejection of moulded plastic pieces, air or fluid under pressure is injected in at least one point in the lateral wall of the mould punch. The air or fluid may be introduced through one or more valves placed int he mould walls. They are pref. slits in the walls sufficiently narrow to prevent molten moulding material from entering. Use of a pressure of 3 - 5 kg/cm2 ensures that there is no deformation of the walls of the moulding. Mouldings with a much smaller taper may be produced using a mould cycle up to 20% less.
