Abstract

The appts. comprises tubular filter elements retained in concentric cylindrical containers to induce a filtration path from the exterior inwards. A rotating channel intermittently links to each cylinder inlet provoking a back-flushing current of the high pressure purified filtrate through the filter element dislodging filter debris into the low pressure channel for disposal. Alternatively, a secondary flushing liquid may be injected via a similar rotating spring loaded seal channel attaching to the outlet extremity of individual filter elements to perform the identical dislodging process.
