Abstract

Heat-resistant star-section bar, esp. for gas-stabilising vane in rocket, is produced by pre-bending, into a V-shape, mats of thermosetting plastic, filler material, and glass fibre. These are then assembled with their flexure points together, forming a star-section, and moulded using heat and pressure.
