Abstract

Apparatus for the treatment of animal carcases, and more especially pigs, for dehairing and cleaning of the skin after burning of residual bristles, consisting of two parallel rows of treatment rolls rotating round vertical or approximately vertical axes, each row of rolls being installed in a common frame which can be brought to and maintained at different angles to the vertical, depending on the dimensions of the animal to be treated on the one hand and/or whether the equipment is to be used as a de-hairing machine or a cleaning machine after burning, on the other hand.
