Abstract
A seven day clock can be set for the required combination of off periods during the week. The clock switching contacts energise and deenergise a relay with one normally open and one normally closed contact which is placed between the normal control circuit and the motorised valve worked by the control circuit. No modification is necessary to the normal control circuit which is retained. A frost thermostat re-energises the relay as necessary if the temperature falls during one of the off periods. A manual three position switch gives selection between clock control, heating off but under frost protection and heating permanently on. The control is particularly suitable for schools but is also applicable to other buildings.
