Abstract
Synthetic resins contg. ester gps. are stabilised against hydrolysis and/or ageing using org. cpds. contg. units of formula (I) or (II) wherein (I) R is 1-18 C alkyl, 4-14 C cycloalkyl or phenyl; in (II) R is 2-18 C alkylene, 5-14 C cycloalkylene or phenylene; in (I) and (II) R" is (m)ethyl or phenyl and b is 1-18. The stabiliser is specif. claimed for polyurethanes contg. ester gps. but can also be used for e.g. alkyds, unsatd. polyesters, PVAc, poly(meth)acrylate etc.
