Abstract

The shoe element is partly or wholly embedded in the friction material. The stud (12) and the brake shoe element are fixed rigidly together. The brake shoe element has U shaped, V shaped, semi circular or flat cross section. The stud locates in the base of the U section and the element is glued to the brake lining material.
