Abstract

The rectangular cell is particularly for living accommodation, having a frame (1) with two supporting rails (2, 3) and a framework for the ceiling and the walls. The latter comprises a series of columns (11) with self-supporting insulating panels (10) mounted alongside each other, and with openings (24) in them. The assembly is covered by a flat roof (18) with lifting attachments (22, 23). The supporting rails can be joined to each other by cross-members (4) with attachments at their ends for easy manoeuvring into position on site. The base frame can have a peripheral channel (7) supporting the wall sections, this channel being reinforced by cross-members (8) carrying the floor panels (9).
