Abstract

The caster wheel is fixed onto a horizontal axle (4) carried in a frame (1). The caster has a vertical axis (6) which has a screwed connection to join it onto the furniture. The bearing assembly consists of two rows of ball bearings (5) and (7). The two rows ride above and below the caster frame extension (2) which offers a horizontal plane surface for the bearing to run on. The bearings are caged between the outer, upper and lower cages which are bolted together on the main axle thread. The caster allows easy movement of heavy furniture.
