Les refroidisseurs 5 que comporte la tour sont disposés au-delà de la périphérie de la charpente et de la coque 3 en formant une couronne dont le sommet est relié à la coque 3 par un voile continu 4. Le diamètre D de la couronne est compris entre 1,2 et 2 fois le diamètre d du cercle de base de la coque 3. Tours de refroidissement sèches.
