Abstract

L'invention vise à réduire le bruit produit par la rotation du rotor de coupe des tondeuses à gazon à lames horizontales et à projection de l'herbe dans un collecteur. La tondeuse selon l'invention comprend au-dessus des lames 4 un disque 3 portant des aubes de ventilateur 9, placées à environ 10 à 40 mm au-dessus du niveau des lames 4 et d'un diamètre à peu près égal aux deux tiers du diamètre de ces dernières. Ce disque complète l'effet de ventilateur des bords redressés 8 des lames 4 de sorte qu'on peut faire tourner le rotor moins vite, en vue de réduire le bruit, tout en obtenant cependant un flux d'air suffisamment fort pour éjecter l'herbe dans le collecteur d'herbe. L'invention s'applique aux tondeuses à gazon à moteur à essence ou à moteur électrique.
