Abstract
Procédé de décomposition thermique du chlorure d'aluminium hexahydraté par décomposition de la majeure partie de ce chlorure dans un réacteur à chauffage indirect, puis calcination, et décomposition simultanée des quantités éventuellement restantes de chlorure d'aluminium hydraté, dans un four tournant à chauffage direct, et refroidissement de l'alumine obtenue dans un échangeur thermique rotatif, avec simultanément préchauffage d'un gaz contenant de l'oxygène, qui se caractérise par le fait que la majeure partie au moins du chlorure d'aluminium hexa-hydraté est décomposée en lit fluidisé et chauffage indirect.
