Ils comprennent un corps en alliage ayant un niveau de dureté d'environ Rc 22 et un bord intérieur de support d'un train de tige, en alliage à base de nickel, de cobalt ou de tungstène, suffisamment mince pour ne pas s'écailler. Application au forage des puits de pétrole et de gaz.
