Abstract
L'invention concerne un appareil et un procédé pour fabriquer une matière d'empâtage pour plaques d'accumulateurs. L'appareil 10 comporte une chambre de mélange 12, une tête mélangeuse 44 montée à rotation dans la chambre et comportant des roues de malaxage 63 et des racloirs 54, 58, 60, un circuit de refroidissement par air qui comporte une chambre en surpression 112 au-dessous du fond 14 de la chambre et des conduites montantes le long de la paroi latérale 16 de la chambre qui débouchent dans la chambre par des orifices de décharge 124 et des buses d'injection d'eau 142 qui servent à laver l'intérieur de la chambre, l'eau de lavage recueillie sur le fond 14 servant d'eau d'appoint pour le lot suivant de matière d'empâtage. L'invention est applicable, notamment, à la fabrication des accumulateurs au plomb.
