Abstract

L'invention concerne un modulateur de gouttelettes liquides uniformes dans une large bande de fréquences. Les surfaces concave et convexe d'un cristal piézo-électrique hémisphérique ou semi-cylindrique portent des électrodes, et le transducteur ainsi formé est encastré dans un logemeht concave d'un support plein en époxy. Une plaque à buse est placée de façon étanche sur le support et le cristal en formant une chambre à liquide entre la plaque et le transducteur. Les dimensions des élements sont inférieures à la moitié de la plus courte longueur d'onde acoustique stationnaire qui peut apparaître. L'invention s'applique notamment aux imprimantes.
