Abstract

Procédé pour la préparation de l' alpha -amino- alpha -méthyl-mercaptobutyronitrile. Il consiste à aminer l' alpha -hydroxy-y-méthylmercaptobutyronitrile par de l'ammoniac en présence d'une proportion d'eau, de préférence égale à plus d'une mole H 2 O pour 1 mole NH3 ; l'opération se fait en continu entre 50 et 100 degrés C, en 1 à 30 minutes, sous 1 à 10 bars. Le nitrile est un intermédiaire important pour la fabrication de la méthionine.
