L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un catalyseur à base de mordénite. L'invention est caractérisée par une étape finale comportant une calcination humide. Le catalyseur ainsi préparé contient pour être utilisé dans les réactions de dismutation ou de transalkylation d'hydrocarbures alkylaromatiques.
