Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'une bande d'acier inoxydable ferritique. On utilise un acier contenant au maximum 0,03 % de carbone, 0,50 % de manganèse, 0,040 % de phosphore, 0,020 % de soufre, 1% de silicium, 12 à 18 % de chrome, 0,50 % de nickel, 0,1 à 0,3 % d'aluminium et le reste de fer, cet acier étant coulé puis laminé à chaud et recuit entre 815 et 845 degrés C puis soumis à abrasion, décapé et laminé à froid et enfin recuit de manière continue entre 845 degrés C et 900 degrés C dans une atmosphère d'hydrogène. Application à la fabrication de bandes pour la frappe de pièces de monnaie.
