Abstract

L'invention a pour objet un étau comportant au moins une mâchoire mobile coulissant le long d'un berceau et deux mâchoires fixes. L'invention présente les particularités que la mâchoire mobile est serrée au moyen d'une tige inclinée par rapport à la direction longitudinale du berceau. La longueur de la tige ne dépend que de la hauteur et non de la longueur du berceau et l'ancrage de la tige dans le berceau est amovible et déplaçable le long de clui-ci, ce qui permet d'effectuer rapidement de grands déplacements de la mâchoire mobile. L'invention trouve une application dans les machines-outils, en mécanique.
