Abstract

Procédé pour produire de l'oxyde de méthyle et de tert-butyle. On fait réagir en R un mélange d'hydrocarbures contenant de l'isobutylène avec de l'alcool méthylique dans un rapport molaire donné dans des conditions données de température, de pression et de vitesse spatiale liquide, en présence comme catalyseur d'une résine échangeuse de cations fortement acide; on fait passer le produit de réaction à travers un lit fixe N rempli d'un agent de neutralisation des acides sous la forme de particules solides insolubles dans l'eau, et on soumet l'effluent à une opération de vaporisation-éclair F, et de préférence aussi à un rectification, pour obtenir de l'oxyde de méthyle et de tert-butyle. L'invention comprend aussi la préparation d'une composition combustible par mélange de l'oxyde de méthyle et de tertbutyle ainsi obtenu dans un combustible pour moteurs à combustion interne.
