Abstract

Projectile tubulaire apte à être tiré à vitesse supersonique par un canon, le corps de ce projectile présentant une extrémité avant d'entrée et une extrémité arrière de sortie entre lesquelles s'étend un passage central dont le diamètre intérieur diminue de l'extrémité avant jusqu'à une région formant col, le rapport de la section droite du passage au col (A) à la section droite du passage à l'extrémité avant d'entrée (Ai ) est suffisamment grand et sa relation avec la vitesse initiale du projectile est telle qu'une onde de choc normale puisse passer le col pour établir un écoulement supersonique dans ledit passage et créer une traînée aérodynamique relativement faible après le tir, ce rapport A,/Ai étant inférieur à 1. Projectiles d'exercice, notamment pour simuler des tirs d'obus à charge creuse et fausse ogive.
