Abstract
L'invention concerne la métallurgie. Le procédé proposé de contrôle de la fusion d'un métal 2 dans un four à arc au moyen d'une électrode 1 est caractérisé en ce qu'on procède à des mesures répétées périodiques de la tension d'arc et du courant d'arc, puis on détermine la somme de leurs composantes continues pour chacune des périodes de mesure, dont la durée est déterminée de façon qu'elle soit suffisante pour que lesdits paramètres électriques atteignent une certaine valeur sensiblement constante pour la période considérée. L'invention permet notamment de tenir compte des variations des conditions d'émission d'électrons à partir de la charge, des matières scorifiantes et d'addition pendant l'élaboration du métal.
