Abstract

The isothermal tent (2) is associated with a rucksack (1) which still retains its usual function. The part of forming the tent is sewn or fused to the rucksack so that they constitute a single piece. The rucksack can be unfolded, and three out of its eight faces may be joined by slide clasp fasteners (4) or press studs. The rucksack is made of absorbant material, such as cotton, while the tent is made of light material that is isothermal and reflecting. This is a plastics sheet covered on one face by an isothermal product, which is capable of reflecting 80-90% of thermal efects, and is only several tenths of millimetres thick.
