Abstract

L'invention concerne les machines de Mage dans lesquelles une grume, portée par un chariot, est débitée en plateaux verticaux, pouvant être eux-mêmes refendus horizontalement, ces plateaux sciés et éventuellement refendus étant couchés au moyen de << bras de retombée >>. Chacun des bras de retombée I, II et III, articulé autour d'un axe 5 horizontal parallèle au déplacement du chariot, et situé en aval des scies, comporte une plaque-ventouse 6 et un rouleau plaqueur 7, portés par un châssis commun 9. Des moyens sont associés au rouleau 7 pour, d'une part, le maintenir en saillie par rapport à la plaque-ventouse 6 durant le sciage et, d'autre part, l'effacer par rapport à ladite plaque-ventouse et permettre à celle-ci d'être appliquée contre le plateau 2 lorsque ce dernier est scié, en vue de son couchage. Application à l'empilage automatique des plateaux, dans l'ordre, pour reconstituer la grume initiale.
