Abstract
Méthode et dispositif d'analyse de sédiments géologiques. On pyrolyse la matière organique de l'échantillon jusqu'à une température déterminée, puis on brûle les produits résultant de la pyrolyse pour former des composés soufrés, et on mesure la quantité de soufre. Eventuellement on détermine la quantité de produits hydrocarbonés résultant de la pyrolyse et, outre la teneur en soufre organique, on en déduit l'évolution de la matière organique, ou, connaissant la teneur en carbone organique, on détermine la nature de la matière organique du sédiment.
