Abstract
a. Procédé de fabrication de silicium très pur. b. Procédé caractérisé en ce qu'on utilise un dispositif de chauffage à l'arc ayant des électrodes écartées l'une de l'autre et formant une chambre à arc communiquant avec la chambre de réaction, on forme un arc électrique dans l'intervalle axial des électrodes, on introduit un gaz d'arc tel que de l'hydrogène, du monoxyde de carbone et un gaz inerte, on introduit une certaine quantité de réducteur alcalin ou réducteur alcalino-terreux dans le flux de l'arc, on introduit une certaine quantité d'halogénure de silicium pour réagir avec le réducteur métallique, on projette le produit de la réaction dans la chambre de réaction, on dépose le silicium liquide sur une surface descendante pour permettre au silicium liquide de couler dans le réceptacle correspondant.
