Abstract

Matière plastique à base de chlorure de polyvinyle. Elle comprend un mélange de 100 parties en poids d'une résine de chlorure de polyvinyle chlorée ayant une masse moléculaire moyenne d'environ 50 000 à 140 avec environ 5 à 30 parties en poids d'un mélange de polyéthylène chlorés dont 65 à 95 % sont constitués par un polyéthylène ayant une masse moléculaire au moins égale à 1 et une teneur en chlore de 30 à 45 %; environ 5 à 25 parties en poids d'un copolymère de greffage de chlorure de vinyle sur un tronc polymère d'acrylate d'alkyle; et environ 1 à 10 parties d'un composé organo-stannique comme agent auxiliaire pour faciliter les traitements de transformation et stabilisant thermique. Cette matière plastique émet peu de fumées lorsqu'elle est chauffée à la température d'une flamme et elle peut ainsi être employée avantageusement pour la fabrication par exemple de garnitures intérieures d'avions ou autres moyens de transport collectifs, l'absence de fumées permettant de localiser facilement l'origine de l'élévation de température, courts-circuits, incendies ou autres, et de trouver une issue de secours.
