Elle est gonflée ou dilatée au cours de sa fabrication afin de présenter à l'état sec une circonférence accrue, puis elle est préhumidifiée d'une manière déterminée, avant le bourrage, afin de réduire ou de supprimer les détériorations dues aux attaches placées sur les produits alimentaires ainsi obtenus. Domaine d'application : fabrication de produits alimentaires tels que des saucisses, etc.
