Abstract

L'invention concerne l'ignifugation de résines à base de polychlorure de vinyle rigide. Suivant l'invention, on utilise à cet effet un adjuvant retardateur d'inflammation caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte, en association, un produit propre à favoriser un contrôle cinétique du dégagement d'acide chlorhydrique, par exemple borate de zinc, et une composition catalytique de sels d'au moins un métal de transition, par exemple oxyde ferrique et ferrocyanure de fer, propre à diminuer les transformations benzéniques et autres aromatiques inhérentes à toutes dégradations pryrolytiques du polychlorure de vinyle. Application notamment aux résines à base de polychlorure de vinyle propres par exemple à la réalisation de canalisations et conduites diverses.
