Abstract
L'invention concerne une substance luminescente émettant dans le vert Le procédé de l'invention permet de produire un luminophore de sulfure de zinc n'ayant aucune ségrégation de sulfures libres de cuivre et d'or à sa surface, qui contient de 0,003 à 0,3 % en poids, de cuivre et de 0,01 à 0,2 % en poids, d'or, jouant le rôle de coactivateurs, ainsi que de 0,0025 à 0,04 % en poids, d'aluminium, le poids de référence étant celui du sulfure de zinc. La chromaticité de l'émission du luminophore est définie dans l'intervalle de x = 0,310 à 0,350 et de y = 0,560 à 0,600 en coordonnées de chromaticité CIE. Il présente une couleur verte et son énergie spectrale relative est définie par la courbe 1 de la figure 2, la courbe 4 correspondant à un luminophore de CdZnS:Cu, dont le fonctionnement est satisfaisant, mais dont l'utilisation a dû être abandonnée pour des raisons de pollution, les courbes 2 et 3 correspondant à la technique antérieure. Le luminophore de l'invention s'applique à la fabrication d'écrans fluorescents pour tubes de rayons cathodiques d'appareils de télévision en couleur.
