Abstract

Ce procédé pour le moulage de pièces en matière thermodurcissable est du type dans lequel on utilise un moule métallique en deux pièces, l'une femelle, l'autre mâle, qu'on remplit de la matière à mouler que l'on chauffe à une température suffisante pour obtenir la polymérisation désirée et dont on extrait ensuite la pièce moulée après ouverture du moule. On fait le vide dans l'enceinte du moule et on y injecte de la vapeur qui pénètre immédiatement dans les interstices entre les particules de matière et les porte à la température de vulcanisation. Ce procédé est beaucoup plus rapide que les procédés classiques : il supprime l'obligation de refroidir le moule par de l'eau avant son ouverture pour le démoulage et il permet une économie importante de vapeur.
