Abstract

a. Appareil destiné à l'application d'une couche de métal en fusion sur un côté seulement d'une bande métallique, dans lequel une surface de la bande métallique est mise en contact avec un bain de métal en fusion lequel est relevé localement sous l'effet de vibrations ultra-soniques en vue d'obtenir une couche continue sur un côté seulement de la bande. b. Un outil destiné à transmettre les vibrations ultra-soniques au bain est immergé à proximité de la surface du bain et un vibrateur ultra-sonique relié à l'outil est logé dans un moyen de support creux plongé dans le bain. La disposition de l'invention permet de remplacer un outil usé en peu de temps. c. Application d'une couche métallique, notamment de zinc, sur un côté seulement d'une bande métallique.
