Abstract

L'invention concerne un appareil pour revêtir une bande de métal à base de fer d'un métal de revêtement en fusion. Cet appareil comprend un four de préparation de bande 1 comportant un four à chauffe directe 2 muni d'un système de décharge de produit de combustion, un four de chauffage à atmosphère contrôlée 3, au moins une chambre de refroidissement 4, 5 et un conduit 6 s'étendant en dessous de la surface du bain de métal de revêtement; il comprend en outre des moyens 35 qui agissent au moment d'un arrêt de la ligne pour isoler de façon étanche le four à chauffe directe 2 du système de décharge 31 et des moyens 39 pour introduire dans le four de préparation de bande une atmosphère non oxydante.
