Abstract

Disque portant des trous qui servent au guidage d'une mine de crayon, qui sont répartis le long d'une spirale d'Archimède et qui permettent de tracer des cercles de différents rayons. Le disque 1 tournant autour de son centre 18 est percé de trous répartis sur une spirale d'Archimède : il porte des cercles 13 qui subdivisent le disque en zones annulaires C numérotées par des valeurs entières 19. La zone extérieure porte des fractions 12 de l'unité. La distance entre le centre du disque et chacun des trous (sauf ceux de l'axe 14) est représentée par un nombre entier suivi d'un nombre fractionnaire. Tous les trous correspondant à une distance comportant le même nombre fractionnaire sont sur un même rayon partant du centre, autrement dit la distance entre deux trous d'un même rayon est toujours représentée par un nombre entier. Les axes 14, 15, 16 servent à la mise en place du disque sur le dessin.
