Abstract

The motor vehicle headlamp has a headlamp capsule (1) which sits with a spherical-cup-shaped rear side in a spherical-cup-shaped cavity (4) of a holding element (2). The said capsule can be securely clamped therein in various adjustment positions by means of a screw (7) which is fixedly attached to the rear side of the headlamp capsule (1) and which reaches through the wall of the cavity with a lateral play which makes the various adjustment positions possible. The holding element (2) with the spherical-cup-shaped cavity (4) is a separate part which can be placed on the body (10) of the motor vehicle and when the headlamp is fitted the screw (7) simultaneously reaches through the relevant body part (10) and is held (8, 9) behind the latter and thus secures the entire headlamp. A headlamp of this type is composed only of a small number of parts and can be easily fitted and adjusted.
