Abstract
L'invention concerne un échangeur de chaleur rotatif comprenant une chambre dans laquelle un matériau particulaire peut passer pour être chauffé ou refroidi par des moyens situés dans la chambre. Selon l'invention, la chambre 22 a une section transversale interne non circulaire transversalement à son axe de rotation, qui comprend plusieurs lobes 24, ainsi le matériau dans la chambre peut être alternativement retenu pour tourner avec la chambre puis peut glisser sous la gravité pendant la rotation continue de la chambre. L'invention s'applique notamment à la calcination de la chaux, la production de magnésie grillée à fond ou de ciment, et produits analogues.
