Abstract

La présente invention concerne le domaine des connecteurs symétriques pour fibres optiques. La fibre optique 1 partiellement dénudée est introduite dans un manchon 2. Le centrage est réalisé grâce à un rubis situé dans ce manchon dont une extrémité porte un épaulement 3. L'ensemble est placé dans un bloc-support 4 dont une extrémité comprend un évidement pour le logement dudit épaulement et d'un ressort de compression 5 s'appuyant sur ce dernier pour repousser le manchon vers l'autre extrémité du bloc qui comprend une gorge en V dans laquelle repose le manchon. Deux fibres optiques munies chacune d'une telle terminaison peuvent être connectées par aboutement. L'invention trouve une application dans le domaine des télécommunications par fibres optiques.
