Abstract

Cet épi, jetée ou similaire est constitué par de longs sacs ou manchons tubulaires réalisés en matériau textile qui sont garnis de sable et sont les uns superposés et les autres alignés. Son procédé de construction consiste à réaliser des manchons tubulaires textiles dont une extrémité est fermée et dont l'autre est ouverte, mais est munie de moyens de fermeture, à mettre chaque manchon dans sa position définitive dans ou hors de l'eau, à le remplir de sable en introduisant à son intérieur, grâce à son extrémité ouverte, une émulsion d'eau et de sable prélevée dans la mer ou la rivière par une machine suceuse, et à fermer ladite extrémité ouverte lorsque le manchon est garni exclusivement de sable, l'eau étant, sous l'effet de la pression, passée de l'intérieur vers l'extérieur, au travers des mailles du manchon.
