Abstract

Strapping for wrapping grips such as bicycle handlebars comprises a laminate with a base 1-2mm. thick and a cover about 0.5mm. thick of similar or greater width than the base and offset laterally. The thick base is self-aligning during helical wrapping with the cover partially overlapping the adjacent base, opt. also part of the adjacent cover of strapping required by unskilled applicators for a particular length of support.
