Abstract

Procédé d'usinage par décharge électrique, selon lequel l'intervalle d'usinage entre une électrode 10 et une pièce à usiner 16 est automatiquement ajusté pour éviter la formation d'un réseau strié, dû à des variations de quantité de métal ôté, à la surface de la pièce usinée. On applique un certain nombre d'impulsions de tension élevée, pendant un temps prédéterminé, dans l'intervalle de décharge; puis on applique une impulsion de tension faible et on commande 40 par moteur pulsé 14, la progression de l'électrode dans le sens d'une réduction de l'intervalle d'usinage, la progression de l'électrode étant arrêtée dès qu'est décelée 36 une décharge dans l'intervalle d'usinage, et l'usinage par décharges se faisant ensuite par application des impulsions de tension élevée. Application notamment à la production de rouleaux de feuillard satinés.
