Abstract

L'invention concerne une matière à base de résine époxy et de caoutchouc capable de résister au frottement et son procédé de préparation. On prépare une matière améliorée résistant au frottement ayant une résistance élevée à la fatigue mécanique et possédant un coefficient dynamique de frottement stable une gamme étendue de températures, par mélange intime d'un liant constitué d'une résine époxy et d'un caoutchouc et de matières modifiant les caractéristiques de frottement; pour former la matière, on mélange la résine époxy non durcie avec le caoutchouc et les matières modifiant les caractéristiques de frottement, on façonne le mélange à la forme désirée, alors qu'il est mou et souple, puis on le durcit par chauffage. L'invention s'applique en particulier à des matières présentant des propriétés améliorées, dont la fabrication et le façonnage sont simples et peu coûteux et qui sont destinées par exemple aux embrayages.
