Abstract
La présente invention concerne un chenal de coulée pour laitier en fusion de haut fourneau, conduisant à une installation de production d'un matériau en grains à partir du laitier. Le chenal est composé d'éléments en forme d'auge en cuivre ou alliage de cuivre. Chaque élément se compose d'un corps creux dont la chambre intérieure est divisée par des cloisons en une série de passages en chicane dans lesquelles circule, sans stagnation, un agent de refroidissement. L'agent de refroidissement est introduit sous pression de sorte qu'il circule librement et à vitesse relativement élevée dans les passages, le laitier en fusion circulant dans le chenal pouvant être amené à une température qui évite l'endommagement et l'usure des éléments et conduit à la production d'un matériau en grains présentant de bonnes qualités. Application aux hauts fourneaux.
