Abstract

On soumet les sulfures métalliques à une lixiviation acide à contre-courant en deux stades 1,7 pour former un sulfure de cuivre simple et une solution de sulfate ferreux; on effectue le second stade de lixiviation acide en deux étapes; dans la première étape 8, on opère avec une concentration de la pulpe relativement élevée et une concentration élevée en acide pour extraire le fer et le zinc, on dilue la suspension obtenue et, dans la seconde étape 9, on opère avec une concentration relativement faible de la pulpe et une faible concentration en acide pour dissoudre le sulfate ferreux précipité, précipiter le cuivre dissous par l'acide sulfhydrique et précipiter le zinc en solution sous forme de sulfure de zinc pratiquement pur; la solution de dilution de la suspension de la première étape du second stade est de préférence une solution d'acide sulfunque produit provenant d'une précipitation de jarosite et une solution contenant du fer et du zinc d'une lixiviation d'activation ultérieure.
