Abstract

Cette machine est du type de celles munies à chacune de leurs extrémités d'une tête d abattage comportant des tambours de havage à hélice(s) porte-pics. Dans la machine selon l'invention, chaque tête comprend un bras 10 articulé en son milieu, directement ou non, sur la machine de façon à pivoter sur un axe horizontal 11 perpendiculaire à son axe longitudinal, ledit bras portant à chaque extrémité un tambour de havage 13 à hélice(s) porte-pics, les zones en regard des faces périphériques des deux tambours étant espacées l'une de l'autre de façon à définir un étranglement. Les tambours tournent en sens inverse l'un de l'autre sur des axes parallèles à l'axe de pivotement du bras et l'inclinaison de l'hélice (ou des hélices) d'un tambour est inverse de celle de l'hélice (ou des hélices) et l'autre tambour. Des moyens sont prévus pour faire pivoter les bras.
